Halifax Hawks Midget AA Female won the gold medal at provincials in Trenton defeating Pictou Subway Selects 1 -0 despite a penalty shot awarded to Pictou with only 13 seconds to go in the third period. Halifax Hawks advanced after beating Valley 3-2 in a stunning overtime upset Sunday morning.
